I don't mean to be overly verbose here, but as most Kemper fans know, I'm generally quiet and private; I don't socialize much. Today, however, I learned that Ronnie Dio passed away in Houston. To say that I am heartbroken and devastated would be an enormous understatement. Ronnie was, by all accounts, a gentleman, an artist, a poet; unquestionably THE voice of my generation. As corny as it may sound, his words have given me hope when there seemingly was none to be found. I have been a musician, and more importantly a fan of metal since 1978 and NO OTHER singer was able to make sense of this life like Ronnie.
God bless you, my friend. Thank you for your words, music and what will inevitably be a lifetime of inspiration and hope. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE.
